We are looking for a Senior Solution Designer – Active Directory to join our Infrastructure Projects division. You will play a key role in shaping the modernization of a large and complex legacy AD infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and business continuity across a critical IT ecosystem.
Operating at the crossroads of architecture, infrastructure, and security, you will translate business and security requirements into robust technical designs and guide their implementation by engineering teams. You will collaborate closely with enterprise architects, security specialists, and solution designers to build future-proof solutions supporting a hybrid on-prem and cloud environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Define and design modern, secure, and scalable Active Directory architectures across multiple domains and forests.
- Lead initiatives aimed at simplifying, securing, and modernizing existing AD/DS infrastructures.
- Oversee and guide the development of DFS, file sharing and access management solutions.
- Support large-scale programs including IAM implementation (SailPoint IdentityIQ), Privileged Access Management and hybrid cloud initiatives.
- Produce high-quality solution documentation and architectural diagrams.
- Translate complex requirements into practical solutions ready for execution by system engineers.
- Ensure alignment with security standards such as ISO 27001, NIS2 and Microsoft security best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee solution feasibility, security, reliability and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years as Solution Designer/Architect;
- 8+ years as System Engineer.
- Proven expertise in Active Directory (on-prem & Azure AD), multi-domain/forest migrations, GPO management, DFS/file sharing, and IAM solutions (e.g., SailPoint IIQ).
- Strong experience with Windows Server hardening, Privileged Access Management, and high-availability, mission-critical infrastructures, ideally in energy/utilities.
- Familiarity with hybrid cloud environments and SDDC infrastructures.
- Relevant certifications preferred: Microsoft AD & Azure, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, NIS2 Senior Lead Implementer.
- Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Fluent in English, French and Dutch (spoken and written).
