AISB -593 Functional Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Functional Analyst to join a dynamic team and contribute to the optimization of business processes within a Belgian public organization.

Your Role

As a Functional Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing, modeling, and documenting business processes. You will intervene from the earliest stages of the project, accurately describing the current situation and the target state, while ensuring consistency between business needs and implemented solutions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Organize and lead meetings and workshops to understand and model business processes.
  • Draft functional documents that enable clear and efficient implementation by technical teams.
  • Ensure that the delivered solutions comply with the business requirements and agreed specifications.
  • Collaborate closely with various stakeholders to maintain a transversal view of organizational impacts.

Profile Sought

We are looking for a rigorous and structured professional with a strong understanding of business processes within the public and mutual insurance sectors.

Education and Experience:

  • University degree or equivalent experience in IT, business management, or systems analysis.
  • Proven experience in functional analysis, ideally within social insurance, healthcare, or public institutions.
  • Solid understanding of data flows exchanged between insurance organizations and public bodies (e.g., INAMI or equivalent).
  • In-depth knowledge of processes related to benefits and incapacity management.
  • Familiarity with methodological standards for analysis and documentation.

Language Skills:

  • French: active level
  • Dutch: active level
  • English: passive level

Personal Skills:

  • Excellent listening and communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical thinking, critical sense, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lead workshops and interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Broad organizational vision and ability to anticipate cross-functional impacts of decisions.
  • Capacity to conceptualize and translate complex ideas into practical solutions.
