AISB-654 Tribe Test Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Tribe Test Engineer – Expert to join a dynamic and innovative IT environment within the banking sector. You will play a key role in strengthening testing capabilities across multiple agile squads, driving test maturity, and embedding a culture of quality, automation, and continuous improvement.

As a Tribe-level expert, you will work closely with other Tribe Test Engineers, Agile Coaches, and DevOps Coaches to define and implement a coherent test strategy aligned with the overall Tribe vision.

Your Mission

You will act as a quality enabler and testing coach across squads, helping teams assess their current testing maturity and guiding them toward best-in-class testing practices. Your impact will be transversal, strategic, and hands-on.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess current testing practices, tools, and workflows across squads
  • Define and implement a customized test roadmap per squad, aligned with the Tribe test strategy
  • Support squads in the adoption of test automation and modern testing practices
  • Organize and deliver training sessions and workshops on testing methodologies
  • Monitor progress and continuously adjust the testing approach based on maturity assessments
  • Act as Feature Quality Owner for cross-squad and Tribe initiatives, defining test approaches and ensuring proper follow-up and reporting
  • Collaborate closely with Agile and DevOps coaches to ensure alignment and consistency

Testing Scope & Environment

  • Definition and governance of testing strategies
  • Testing tools and practices including:
    • Unit testing
    • Test automation
    • Service virtualization
    • Performance testing
    • Test management

Your Profile

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in testing and quality engineering
  • Proven experience in:
    • Defining and implementing test strategies
    • Test automation in Agile environments
    • Working closely with Agile development teams
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Octane
    • Java
    • Git
    • Cucumber & JUnit
    • Selenium WebDriver
    • Page Object Model
    • Test automation best practices
  • Experience in the banking or insurance sector is a strong asset
  • Background as a Test Automation Engineer is a plus

Languages

  • English: very good knowledge (mandatory)
  • French and/or Dutch: a strong plus
