AISB-783 IT and Cyber Third Party Risk Assessor

At ABAKUS IT SOLUTIONS, we are currently recruiting an IT & Cyber Third-Party Risk Assessor to strengthen our teams and support key risk management initiatives.  As an IT & Cyber Third-Party Risk Assessor, you will play a key role in safeguarding the organization’s ecosystem by assessing and managing risks related to IT systems, applications, projects, and external partners. You will support both IT and Business teams by providing expert guidance on operational risk management practices, with a strong focus on information security. Your mission will be to reduce overall risk exposure while ensuring alignment with security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform IT and cybersecurity risk assessments on applications, systems, projects, and third-party providers
• Identify, evaluate, and maintain risks in the risk registry database
• Ensure that security and IT requirements are properly integrated into third-party contracts
• Define and execute control plans to assess third-party compliance with contractual security obligations
• Coordinate and perform IT and security audits on external providers
• Establish and improve end-to-end processes for third-party risk management
• Provide consulting and advisory services on risk management to internal stakeholders (IT & Business)
• Monitor and report risk exposure and overall third-party risk posture to management
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management methodologies, tools, and frameworks
• Align practices with industry standards and frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, OWASP, etc.)
• Support risk treatment strategies and follow-up actions to mitigate identified risks effectively

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in IT Risk Management, preferably in complex environments
• Strong experience in operational and cybersecurity risk management
• Good knowledge of audit methodologies and control frameworks
• Strong understanding of Information Security and Risk Management frameworks (ISO27001, NIST, SOC, OWASP, etc.)
• Solid IT background with the ability to understand technical and business impacts
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CIPP, or CCSK
• Experience in third-party risk assessments and vendor security evaluations
• Background in large enterprise environments
• Experience in data protection, business continuity, and access management
• Experience in process design and continuous improvement
• Ability to deliver presentations and training sessions
• English: Good command
• French or Dutch: Fluent
• Second national language (French or Dutch): Good level
