We are seeking a Senior Data Business Analyst to play a key role in transforming data into actionable business value within a complex, data-driven environment. Working closely with Finance and Commercial teams, you will act as a strategic interface between business stakeholders, data teams, and IT, helping to shape data solutions that improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
Your mission
As a senior profile, you will contribute to end-to-end data initiatives, from understanding business needs to delivering insights and supporting data solution design.
1. Business needs analysis & functional framing
- Gather, clarify, and formalize business requirements from key stakeholders
- Facilitate workshops to define scope and align expectations
- Translate business needs into clear functional and data requirements
- Prioritize demands based on business value and technical feasibility
2. Data modeling & data management
- Contribute to the design of data models and information flows
- Support data quality, consistency, and governance initiatives
- Collaborate with data engineers and business experts to ensure reliable datasets
3. Analytics & decision support
- Perform quantitative analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Design and maintain relevant KPIs and dashboards
- Deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations
4. Coordination & communication
- Act as a bridge between technical teams and business users
- Present analytical outputs in a clear, structured and action-oriented manner
- Support user adoption of BI tools and data solutions
5. Continuous improvement & innovation
- Identify process optimization opportunities through data
- Contribute to data strategy and roadmap initiatives
- Participate in cross-functional initiatives (automation, data quality, governance)
Your profile
Technical expertise
- Strong experience in SQL, data analysis, and data modeling
- Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or equivalent)
- Good understanding of data architectures (data warehouse, data lake, data pipelines)
- Experience with KPI design and reporting solutions
- Knowledge of statistical concepts and data science principles is a plus
Functional expertise
- Ability to translate business needs into functional specifications and user stories
- Strong understanding of business processes and ability to challenge requirements constructively
- Experience in agile environments or project-based delivery
Working environment
- Hybrid working model with regular on-site presence in Brussels
