At ABAKUS IT SOLUTIONS, we are looking for a highly experienced Solution Engineer - Scrum / Agile Delivery Master to join a major long-term digital transformation initiative in Brussels. This role is ideal for someone who combines deep technical expertise in Java, cloud engineering, APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture with strong experience leading agile software delivery within expert-level engineering teams. You will play a key role in the coordination, design, delivery, and continuous improvement of large-scale greenfield solutions in a modern cloud-native environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to agile delivery activities across complex software initiatives
- Facilitate sprint ceremonies including planning, refinements, retrospectives, demos, and daily stand-ups
- Coordinate medium- and long-term release planning while managing dependencies and delivery risks
- Guide multidisciplinary engineering teams in the design and implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient solutions

Contribute hands-on to solution architecture and technical discussions around:
- APIs
- Microservices
- Event-driven systems
- Cloud-native architectures
- Collaborate closely with developers, architects, analysts, and stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery
- Support production deployments and application lifecycle management
- Promote continuous improvement and agile best practices within the team
- Share technical knowledge and help evolve engineering standards and delivery practices
- Provide pragmatic recommendations and alternative technical approaches when needed
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent European-recognized diploma
- Minimum 10 years of experience in:
- Java SE development
- API design and development
- Microservices development and integration

Minimum 5 years of experience with:
- Java SE 10+
- Event-driven architecture and systems
- Agile delivery within greenfield software projects
- Agile frameworks such as SAFe and LeSS
- Software design in cloud environments
- Minimum 3 years of experience as Scrum/Agile Delivery Master in cloud-native projects

Strong hands-on experience with:
- Azure DevOps
- Cloud-native software delivery
- API-first architectures
- Event sourcing & event handling
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work autonomously while remaining a strong team player
- Experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and/or Behavior-Driven Development (BDD)
- Knowledge of Angular
- Experience working in highly collaborative expert environments
