Position Overview
Within a constantly evolving technology environment, we are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to strengthen our teams around Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and Identity & Access Management (IAM), with strong expertise in Kubernetes. You will work on critical platforms with high requirements in terms of availability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and operate highly available, secure, and scalable Kubernetes clusters, on-premises or in the cloud.
- Work closely with development teams to containerize applications and deploy them on Kubernetes, optimizing resource usage and performance.
- Promote and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
- Set up robust monitoring and logging solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack to ensure the health and performance of clusters and applications.
- Continuously analyze and optimize Kubernetes cluster performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks and resource constraints.
- Implement security best practices and controls to protect Kubernetes environments against threats and vulnerabilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Kubernetes and containerized applications, providing timely solutions to incidents and outages.
- Collaborate closely with development, operations, and security teams, fostering a strong DevOps culture and sharing Kubernetes best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in Kubernetes orchestrator service management in production environments.
- Strong hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing large-scale Kubernetes clusters.
- Deep understanding of containerization technologies (Docker, Podman) and orchestration principles.
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
- Familiarity with platforms such as Rancher, OpenShift, and Docker.
- Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their Kubernetes services (EKS, AKS, GKE).
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware, Microsoft).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools including Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack.
- Experience with service meshes such as Istio or Linkerd.
- Hands-on experience with Helm and CI/CD practices (ArgoCD, GitOps).
- Experience with storage solutions (Software-Defined Storage, S3-compatible solutions, MinIO, NooBaa, etc.).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash or Python for automation purposes.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Good understanding of Agile delivery methodologies.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
