As a Senior SAP FS-RI Functional Consultant / Developer, you will play a key role in the end-to-end implementation, configuration, development, and support of the SAP FS-RI module within reinsurance environments. This hybrid position combines strong functional expertise with hands-on technical development, allowing you to contribute across the full SAP lifecycle. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to design reliable, scalable, and tailored SAP FS-RI solutions in a fully remote setup.
Your Responsibilities
- Analyze business requirements from reinsurance stakeholders (Underwriting, Claims, Accounting) and translate them into efficient SAP FS-RI solutions.
- Configure and maintain core SAP FS-RI components, including system settings, treaty management, assumed and ceded reinsurance, bordereaux processing, loss and reserve management, and sub-ledger integration with SAP FI/CO and the General Ledger.
- Design and document functional specifications for RICEF objects and support testing activities (unit, integration, and UAT).
- Provide third-level functional and technical support, troubleshooting complex issues.
- Develop, enhance, and optimize ABAP solutions within the SAP FS-RI environment (reports, interfaces, enhancements, BAdIs, user exits, function modules).
- Apply Object-Oriented ABAP and FS-RI-specific tools, perform data migrations, debug issues, and collaborate with SAP Basis teams on upgrades and performance improvements.
Your Profile
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP FS-RI implementation and support.
- Proven experience combining functional configuration and ABAP development in SAP FS-RI.
- Strong knowledge of reinsurance business processes: Proportional, Non-Proportional, and Facultative reinsurance.
- Excellent understanding of SAP integrations (SAP FI/CO, FS-CD, ECC and/or S/4HANA).
- Advanced ABAP skills, including debugging and performance analysis.
- Strong analytical mindset and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working independently as well as in collaborative, international teams.
- Languages: English: professional working proficiency (mandatory) / French or Dutch: nice to have
