We are looking for an experienced IT System Engineer specialized in API Management and Platform Engineering to support the evolution of a modern API ecosystem within a cloud-native environment.
In this strategic and hands-on role, you will contribute to the design, governance, automation, and operational excellence of API platforms. You will work closely with enterprise architects, technical teams, security experts, and product teams to ensure secure, scalable, and reusable API solutions.
Your Responsibilities
- Advise and support the implementation and evolution of the API Management platform.
- Contribute to API middleware architecture alongside enterprise and technical architects.
- Structure, maintain, and evolve API standards, policies, and documentation.
- Ensure governance, security, compliance, and observability across the entire API lifecycle.
- Support development teams in designing secure, consistent, and reusable APIs.
- Participate in vendor and solution assessments with a technology-agnostic approach.
- Contribute to the evolution of Kubernetes-based and containerized platform services.
- Support automation, self-service capabilities, and the industrialization of API delivery and operations.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, development, and product teams to improve platform performance and reliability.
Required Skills & Experience
Technical Expertise
- Strong experience in API Management and API governance.
- Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes in containerized environments.
- Solid knowledge of AWS and cloud-native architectures.
- Experience with Monitoring & Observability solutions.
- Good understanding of API security, platform operations, and API lifecycle management.
- Experience with automation, DevOps, or Platform Engineering is a strong advantage.
Soft Skills
- Proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative.
- Strong analytical and solution-oriented approach.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional coordination skills.
- Ability to work effectively in international and multidisciplinary environments.
Profile
- Confirmed-level consultant with several years of experience in API and cloud-native environments.
