AISB -843 Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for a senior Infrastructure Engineer specialized in enterprise Windows environments and modern cloud-based infrastructures. You will act as a technical reference point within the infrastructure teams, contributing to the design, operation, and evolution of critical systems supporting large-scale production services.

This role combines deep technical expertise, automation mindset, and strong operational ownership in a complex, security-sensitive environment undergoing continuous transformation toward cloud and orchestration-based models.

Key Responsibilities

Infrastructure Operations & Reliability

• Ensure high availability, performance, and security of Windows-based infrastructure services
• Perform advanced troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem eradication
• Manage incident resolution, major incident handling, and operational support (including on-call duties)
• Oversee obsolescence, risk remediation, and service continuity activities

Engineering & Automation

• Design and define infrastructure standards, engineering rules, and configuration management processes
• Automate recurring operational tasks using scripting and orchestration approaches (notably with PowerShell)
• Build and maintain deployment and cluster infrastructures
• Contribute to performance tuning and optimization of server environments

Cloud & Modern Infrastructure

• Work on hybrid and cloud-native environments, including Microsoft Azure-like IaaS/PaaS ecosystems
• Participate in the evolution toward containerized and orchestrated platforms (e.g., Kubernetes)
• Support transformation initiatives and prototype emerging infrastructure solutions

Systems & Platform Expertise

• Maintain and evolve enterprise Windows environments using Microsoft Windows (server and workstation L3 support)
• Manage directory, identity, and network services such as Active Directory and DNS
• Work with systems and tools such as SCCM, NAS solutions, SQL environments, and orchestration platforms
• Support performance audits, system tuning, and capacity optimization

Governance & Collaboration

• Apply IT service management best practices aligned with ITIL principles
• Define and track relevant operational KPIs and service metrics
• Collaborate with stakeholders in an Agile-oriented delivery model
• Act as a technical advisor for suppliers and internal teams

Required Experience & Skills

Technical Expertise

• Strong experience in enterprise infrastructure engineering (minimum 6 years)
• Advanced knowledge of Windows server environments and L3 support
• Proven experience in infrastructure design, implementation, and troubleshooting
• Solid understanding of cloud architecture (IaaS / PaaS)
• Strong scripting skills, especially in automation and operational tooling

Preferred Skills

• Experience with SQL environments
• Knowledge of SCCM and enterprise endpoint management tools
• Exposure to orchestration and automation platforms
• Familiarity with container-based architectures and cloud-native technologies

Languages

• English: required (spoken and written proficiency)
• Dutch and French: considered an advantage

Education

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Work Environment

• Hybrid working model with balanced on-site presence and remote work flexibility
• Occasional travel may be required
• Participation in on-call rotations for critical infrastructure support
